RYTON® expandable sleeving is used in high temperature, flame resistant wire harnesses and cable assemblies. It is an extremely lightweight sleeving, resistant to high temperatures and virtually impervious to solvents. Ryton® is ideal for aerospace, telecom and military applications. It is braided from 8 mil flame resistant PolyPhenylene Sulfide (PPS) monofilament fibers, which offers the broadest resistance to chemicals of any advanced engineering plastic. The material has no known solvents below 392°F (200°C) and is inert to steam, strong bases, fuels and acids. PPS exhibits minimal moisture absorption and a very low coefficient of linear thermal expansion.
